Street Kids' Ministry

The challenges of the street kids ministry has brought many new faces to the ministry! Pa Conteh, the director of the street kids program, has identified twenty street kids for specific educational support. Many of these children are now enrolled in local schools. One of the young ladies will graduate from secondary school this summer. Several of the younger kids junior secondary school. This ministry is so important in giving these young people hope.

One of the young men in the street kids program is 16 years old and has little educational background. His determination to learn convinced the staff to allow him to attend the school at the home. He is in class 4 and is doing well. This young man attends church at the home and is making plans for his future.

In addition to the twenty street kids that have enrolled in school, there are another twenty being touched by the ministry. Please pray for these children. Their situations are desperate in many cases. Please pray for Monique (not real name). She is about 17 years old and has been on the streets for 8 or 9 years. She has resorted to prostitution to support herself. Please pray that God would help her find a way to meet her needs and follow the Lord.

Another young man, John, showed up in Bo many months ago. Through the street kids program, John was reunited with his family many miles away. We have been able to help John with his school fees. When John was sick earlier this year and in need of immediate surgery, the ministry was able to make this possible. John is very thankful for the blessings he has received.

Pray for wisdom for Pa Conteh as he continues to minister to these children. Pray that God would provide for their many needs and help the ministry to connect them to services that can help them.
