Education

Our school is in full operation with over 200 students this year, including about 45 of the children from the home. The children from the home continue to be excellent models for the other children and all but one of them was promoted after the last school year.

The teachers are doing a fantastic job with VERY LIMITED resources. Many new resources were delivered on the container, and the teachers are thankful for ample paper and pencils! The teachers are also working to utilize some of the many reading, math and science resources that were sent. They are excited about trying new things to help their students learn!

The teachers are thankful for the temporary building and are looking forward to one day having a permanent structure. They continue to make good use of the few tables, desks, and benches that they have. The nursery teachers are making great use of the learning toys sent for their students.

Perhaps the greatest accomplishment in the school in the past year was the performance of class 6 on the national exams. Every student, with the help and encouragement of their teacher, Mr. Francis Ndoinje , passed the exam and was promoted to Junior Secondary School.

Please continue to pray for our 22 children who now attend Junior Secondary School in Torwama. They are leaders and models in their schools.
