Destitute We found Suma Bonni, 1 year
old, sitting with his mother on the path to her village. He was in
the last stages of malaria. When we told her to take him to the
hospital, she said, "I can't. I have no money. When my boy got
sick I just sat down and cried. There was nothing I could do."
We told her to go and we would pay for the care. The doctor at the
bush hospital said one more day and Suma would have been dead. Two
weeks and $9 later, the Suma Bonni fund was begun to help pay the
medical bills for those who were too destitute to care for their
children. Today we care for as many kids as we can each month in the
bush hospital.
We were recently able to purchase a
Honda for Pastor T.Y., who is an integral part of the ministry in
Mattru. He often travels into remote areas and will do so much more
safely with his new Honda! |
